Glock 19 sights (Help!)
« on: March 04, 2009, 08:32:22 PM »
I just got a new (to me) Glock 19. It came with night sights , round metal circles around a dot. They are supposed to glow. They don't, except for the front one which sort of, kind of does. Now, I mostly shoot pistols instinctively, both eyes open, point and click, but being able to see the front sight is a big plus. With only round metal rims this is hard on the range and unacceptable for defense. I have two questions.
1) What are these sights (they're fixed if that helps). Are they tritium, because if so, I ain't paying to replace them.
2) What would you reccomend to replace them? My instinct is a bit of white nail polish to mimic the sights on my 17, which I love, but if there's somethinyg reasonable and worth the money, glow in the dark sounds good.
I look forward to your advice,

Thanks????? for your help. The sad thing is, that if you look closely at the sights in the photo, they look a lot like what the gun came with. Am I wong in suspecting you have an unhealthy  attrarcton to those antiquated rust buckets produced by some johnny-come-lately company called Colt? ;D

Mr. Wong is tipping over the bucket.    ;D  ;D  ;D

Wight, wong, whatever. I miss the old birdman website. How about Trijicon 3-dot NON-night sights? $38. http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/parts_new.cfm?categoryID=7#7
