I WANT YOU!....
« on: March 05, 2009, 08:35:39 PM »
....A well armed militia that is.

After reading over several posts here and on other forums debating the issue concerning Obama, and the belief that he is coming after our guns.  I think the recent rise in gun ownership speaks for itself.  Why else would citizens go out now, "most recently" and buy up every type of gun manufactured?  Everything from tactical rifles to practical concealable pistols.

The belief is real.  Look at the Ruger lcp, lcr; Tauras judge; Smith and Wesson's M&P models.  Selling like hotcakes or sold out!  Here in Ohio, you can't find .380 ammo.  And if you do, a box of 25 is about $30.00 bucks!

Is the threat real?  Of course it is.  I'm sure at one time or another, we have all had that conversation with the liberal anti-gunner, who hasn't been the victim of a violent crime, right?  Well, they've got as much a following as we do.  Sure there are non-gun owners out there that think we have the 2nd Amendment right, but many more anti-gun lobbyists with as deeply rooted ambitions against us, as we do in defending our right to own, possess, carry, and ultimately defend ourselves if need be.

So, with that being said....

What will you do IF the lawmakers come knockin?  I only ask this question because I viewed several youtube videos about the victims of Katrina having there lawfully owned hand/long guns taken from them at home, in the car, or on a boat.
Here's that link to the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3kfVLGxx8c&feature=PlayList&p=4606307064140982&index=3

I'm hoping to look to all of you IF that day ever comes to my door.  I never really thought much about the manner they were going to do it?  Send notice to us in the mail requiring that we turn them in to our local law enforcement agency?  Door to door confiscations?  Or what?

Not one of the videos I viewed showed a citizen unlawful in having their firearm.  But law enforcement and coast guard confiscated, and in some instances they destroyed these firearms on the spot by busting them against a curb.

Helpless, is the only way I can explain what I felt as I put myself in their situations.  Once there gone, what then?

How can our goverment in any form defend any position of a gun ban?  Our constitutional rights were made to us by free men, for free men.  Have we let our leaders sway so far away from the idea that firearms gave us the very freedom that many gave their lives for, only to have those rights taken away from us?   HELL NO WE DIDN'T!

So what's the answer?  A national rally?  I seen somewhere that someone else was trying to plan a march?  What?

With so much going on with the economy, loss of jobs, rise in unemployment, abuse of corporate ceo's, collaspe of wall street, Iraq, Iran, Afganistan, corrupt politician after corrupt politican in the news, threats of recession and depression with no clear vision for our future, and if that's not enough; they want to disarm us too?  Is this a contigency plan if everything else fails?  Don't they want us to be able to defend ourselves?  Or would they rather have us unarmed like sheep for the slaughter to come?  Who will have the guns then?  Only the military and criminals?  WOW!

Is our government going to enforce martial law then to protect us from the criminals?  Probably, but not before alot of citizens who could have protected themselves are dead.  So....What will you do IF they come for your guns?

No, the Govt. would try to enforce Martial law to keep us from defending themselves.

Some thoughts.

First and foremost, personal plans never on a public forum. Unfortunately, I feel very much alone here, no family, few (local) friends, almost a transient, although I own a home (along with the bank).

With the internet and all, I think I think some of us will see it coming, like the Eliane Gonzalez seizure, maybe with gun shop raids for the yellow forms on some pretense, especially "suspect" stores. Although knowing the Feds they may be pre-emptive in some of their hits. High-volume gun sales stores might get hit and closed first to cut off the supply, etc. Then very quickly I would expect a targeted list of gun-holders and very public folks to get hit across the country and hit hard by the Feds simultaneously - very loud, very vicious and very public, with a compliant press in tow. You know, to send a warning to others who might be tempted to be scofflaws. If we can do it to them, who the hell are you to think we wouldn't hesitate to crush you? That sort of thing.

All of this would be accompanied by pious and sanctimonious gummint suits on TV droning on about all of the machine guns, grenafes, ammo "stockpiles" and assault weapons they found, ridding the street of criminals and making children safer, all the while delivering veiled (and not so veiled) threats against hold-outs and scofflaws. Then appeals to people's "patriotism" to turn in guns - and gun owners - which the good sheeple will do.

Door to door confiscations will then be conducted in selected areas to help drive home the point that the gummint will have your guns - regardless.

It will not be nice.

http://waronguns.blogspot.com/2007/04/guest-editorial-kill-all-they-send.html

"The disarmament process would begin after the initial three-month amnesty. Special squads of police would be formed and trained to carry out the work. Then, on a random basis to permit no advance warning, city blocks and stretches of suburban and rural areas would be cordoned off and searches carried out in every business, dwelling, and empty building. All firearms would be seized. The owners of weapons found in the searches would be prosecuted: $1,000 and one year in prison for each firearm.

Clearly, since such sweeps could not take place all across the country at the same time. But fairly quickly there would begin to be gun-swept, gun-free areas where there should be no firearms. If there were, those carrying them would be subject to quick confiscation and prosecution. On the streets it would be a question of stop-and-search of anyone, even grandma with her walker, with the same penalties for 'carrying.'" -- The Toledo Blade, Wednesday, April 25, 2007

http://www.secondamendment.net/2amd7updated.html

The Fourth Amendment protects you against unreasonable searches and seizures.  If the police want to search your house without your consent, they need a warrant.  Warrants may only be issued upon a showing of probable cause, supported by an affidavit.  The facts contained in the affidavit must do more than support a mere suspicion.  The test is whether the information in the affidavit would justify a person of prudence and caution in believing that an offense is being committed, e.g. that "prohibited" weapons can be found on your premises.  The requirement of probable cause for the issuance of warrants is one of your most precious constitutional protections.  NEVER GIVE THE AUTHORITIES YOUR CONSENT TO SEARCH YOUR HOUSE, YOUR CAR, YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS, OR ANY OTHER PREMISES UNDER YOUR CONTROL.  Consent dispenses with the necessity of probable cause. While lacking probable cause, if the police conduct a search with your consent and seize evidence for use against you in court, your lawyer will not be able to suppress it on the basis that the search was warrantless.

If the suspension of Amendments is enacted, ......well, ......All I'll say is If my guns are gone, than I'm gone...
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

  Occupying America?
The 769th and 527th engineering battalions of the Louisiana National Guard... were housed at the Convention Center when that building became an island of deprivation, chaos and lawlessness.

The 350 armed soldiers knew enough about what was going on to barricade their part of the building against the mob, and to come and go from a side door so as few people as possible would know of their presence. Later, they said no one had told them to restore order in the convention center. That's bad enough (and I know this is the know-it-all reporter talking). What's worse is that they didn't do it without being asked.

"The idea of helping with the convention center never came up," said the 769th commander, Maj. Keith Waddell, according to an account in The Washington Post.

What a sad story.   Unbelievable, yet real and disturbing.  I can't believe this hasn't had any repercussions for those decision makers down there?  How could this happen?  Thanks for the video Marshal'ette.

CORONER, in NE Ohio I can buy .380 ammo at WWB at WM for $30 + tax for 100 and SD at any GS for$18-22 for 25.  Guess I'm lucky.  Haven't breaking my LCP with WWB (it's been 100% so far) so it will be a while before I check it out with any SD loads.

That's great!  .380 box of 100/$30.  That is a good deal.  We got a gun show in Norwalk, Ohio the last weekend of the month.  I went to Maumee, Ohio about 3 wks. ago and bought .45 in a box of 50/$18.  Those sellers were from Fremont, Ohio; so I gave them the info. on the Norwalk show.  I hope they're coming.   I been saving up for more ammo.

You'll really like you're LCP.  I know the recall was a drag, but I'm absolutely confident with it's reliablity now.  Good Luck, and thanks for you're comments
