Ironically california might not be a problem, but an asset in the imigration debate. Lets drop liberal vs conservative for a minute. Ca. has for the last 40 years, been pretty much a live and let live kind of place. Same with Florida. Yet I now, over the last ten years can't go to the grocery store, call a retail shop or talk to a lawn care guy and communicate because I don't speak spanish. This isn't racism, I don't care what you look like and my first serious girlfriend was black. It is a matter of culture and a matter of jobs. When I ws youngr, all those jobs were filled by American citizens or LEGAL immigrants. I have no doubt they would be again if Americans didn't have to compete with illegals. Yes we would pay more, but it would be worth it. I think youll find that the citizens of Ca., just like the citizens of Fl. are getting a bit tired of this.

Here we go again...  ...with the California bashing. Not bad enough I have to be considered a bad guy just because I'm a gun owner and hunter but now I have to read that like minded folks want to give away my state just because of the idiots that that we have here. Every state has idiots.

Believe me, we all sympathize. It's just that the land of fruits and nuts has so many more, than it's fair share.

No one in the trades likes illegals.( I mean craftsmen,not  labor) 

I hear all the time how they do jobs whites won't do,  which is funny as I do them.. but the real reason is, unless your getting some type of help you can not survie on a $8/ hour in CA.  it just that simple.  Thats what illegals have done, they have lowered the wages to where you can not support yourself. 

here is a perfect example.  A local cabinet shop was looking for a part time finisher, now work has been very slow for me( which is no seceret) so I figured I'd go apply, if for nothing  else other then to work.  I really do love to work, doing nothing kills me.

 now here is a job where you are litterly make or break employee.. they wanted to pay me $8.75 hour.  I am pretty well known in the area.  if you work "downtown" on older homes, you  will know who I am.  Chances are you have worked with  me/ for me at some point.   yet, thats all they were willing to pay.   They ended up hiring a illegal for that.

That right there is why illegal workers are wrong and ruining the country. It's not that an American worker won't do the work, it's that an American worker won't do the work for that low of a wage. It's all about standard of living which gets higher and higher every year. Especially with Barack Hussein O-blah-blah-blah-ma at the reins now.

When I was out there there I was job hunting and got 2 offers at about the same time, one was in a shop that had no Mexicans, They wanted a Punch press operator, usual bennies, (ins, & Vac ) $10/hr.
The other was as 2nd shift punch Dept Supervisor for several Mexican operators, same Bennies, $7.50/hr
Guess which one I took.
