Legislators have introduced at least 55 bills that could change Illinois laws on guns and hunting. Here's a look at a few:
- Concealed carry: Lets gun owners carry handguns in public. (HB245, HB367, HB462, SB1976)

- Private sales: Requires individuals to sell or transfer firearms through a licensed gun dealer. (HB48, SB1848)

- Assault weapons: Bans semiautomatic assault weapons, .50 caliber rifles and accessories. (HB165, SB1721)

- One gun per month: Limits a person to buying one handgun within a 30-day period. (HB12, HB199, SB1275)

- Insurance: Requires gun owners to maintain a $1 million liability insurance policy. (HB687)

- Gun storage: Increases the penalty for a gun owner if a minor obtains an improperly stored gun and shoots someone. (HB179)

- Revoke licenses: Strips licenses from gun owners who fail twice to report a missing or stolen firearm. (HB845)

Marshal built a local  website for the people of Elk County to have. ( Isn't he a NICE man) 
 In our local county forum here in small town America Howard... There are a few of us who hammer at those who are content to stay in their own little cocoon. The Obama Ban list was posted and when I saw this post I posted and added PhilW post to the end of my post. Anyway... It gets me to thinking ( I know..scary as hell  )

 It is so disturbing and sad that most people ( who own guns)  think that because their gun or guns that they own. ISN'T on the legislative Banned list, that all is well and good! Not necessarily so..........
 
I wish more gun owners would help wake this little town up.   Sadly there are more in the United States ( that are gun owners) that have this flaccid attitude than we realized. .


Anyway...... thanks for not putting copyrights on your posts... I have very little time for the local stuff  here and you all save my life more than you know.

if you want,   post up the one I did about Australia and firearms so they can see what we go though here  after Pt Arthur  ( and we did not think it would happen to us.   


after the Pt Arthur massacre  it took the Gov  2 WEEKS to change the laws over here and bye bye  S/A's

and after they spend over 500  Mil on the steal back.  10 years later it has been shown to have done SFA on public safety  ( I have Uni Reports on that if you need more info  and facts


I have just had a quick look at the comments 

couple of things to add

as I mentioned on here   that list is what we can not have ( we have more )  as you also need to add pump shot guns as wel, pistols with a barrel shorter than 120mm,     Mag Capacity no larger than 10 rounds ( Inc Pistols )
then there is all the other BS we have over here


not having a go at them,    the comments from some of them remind me of what happened here in Australia that saw us LAFO's getting bent over   as a lot of the hunters / shot gunners were saying well you don't NEED one of them  so it dose not affect me, so it is not my problem 

then over night,...... Gone

 Doesn't Catwoman understand that if she buries her guns she is playing into the hands of the grabbers ? She is putting it where it is absolutely useless to any one and that is what they want. When you feel you need to bury your guns, it's time to start digging them up and using them.

Correct,   once they have buried they are gone as well   and that is what they want. for you not to have accesses to them.  putting them in a Pipe, sealing it up and then put a couple of foot of dirt is the same thing as what they did here when they were crushed

people have  did that over here and they are still down there, they can not use them, look at them,   why bother
