Hats off the Marines for speaking their minds in silence.  I had friends of mine who refused to retire until Clinton was out of office so his signature wouldn't be on their retirement certificate.

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington

Semper Fi Devil Dogs!

USMC - 1975 to 1979 under Carter  :P

Then you KNOW that I'm not exaggerating when I talk about Mr peanuthead gutting the military to the point where they were financially unable to do the job. NCO's in Base housing qualifying for welfare, replacement parts once a year, major maintenance issues with deployed equipment.
USMC 77-80

USN 75-79....E-4 @ $565.00 a month....abject poverty, no base housing available.....$200.00 rent, food, gas @1.75/gal, no car insurance, rotating shifts....I made more money in High School...

Yea, Carter is one of my favorite people too (NOT).....discharged two months before Reagan was elected.  Should have stayed but had to survive....

Tom, no complaints.  Started out as E-1 with about $68 a month.  Would not trade my time in the Corps for anything, best thing, other than my kids, that I have done.
