Sign of old age???
« on: March 14, 2009, 01:24:53 PM »
Alright then. Did anyone else open the "War Heroes Receive Tribute from Grateful RMEF Nation" article on the DRTV home page because they misread it as "War Heroes Receive Tribute from Grateful REMF Nation"?   ;D

I was expecting something involving France, lol
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

It's not that your getting old, It's because the brain sees what it expects to see.  That's how I read it the first time I looked as well  ;D
It may have been an E Mail I got but I remember seeing an article about this that contained a sample paragraph where the spelling was all messed up, but you could just read right along because your brain straightened it out. That's why hunters have to learn the difference between "looking" and "SEEING".

Not by a long shot! I actually giggled until I reread it. Too bad because irony like that doesn't happen everyday.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Either that or we just can't spell worth a damn and have gotten used to it. Me, I'm going with your explanation. ;D

I can read it quite quickly but the problem I have is, the brain is pretty darn quick but the mouth is quicker! ::)
