I am very interested in the LCR but I am a wee bit leary about the recalls that Ruger has had as of late. I appalaud the fact that Ruger is fixing them and not making excuses, just like a honest company should. However I am going to wait for a bunch to be made before I get one. I personally never buy the latest whiz bang, johnny cool guy thing because it might not of been fixed yet. I would be willing to bet that the first few hammers, airplanes, computers, (insert whatever machine you choose) had to recalled before they built them correctly.

As to the Ruger LCR revolver availibility as it sits right now is that I heard,Davidsons was suppose to get 5,000 of these revolvers at the begining of this month.   As far As to the peoples I have talked to,Massad Ayoob,Marshall,And Bill Laughridge about the LCR REVOLVER,they all said I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!!!!!!   Or as soon as they start shipping them.    I havent gotten one yet but,I am trying to get my ffl that I been dealing with the past 30+ years to get me one at a reasonable price without the CTC grips.  I dont really need it anyway because I can get a night sight whenever.  rich642z    the Ruger LCR revolver for what I have seen and read in Guns and Ammo Magazine seems like it will hold up pretty darn well to what ever you put thru it.   Some say it is a ugly gun but,the havent tried it out yet. So,peoples, lets tell these dealers to order them and we will see for ourselves how good this new Ruger LCR is.   gun writers do all the talking and writing but when you see the videos from Mike Bane shooting it and he has praise for it then, you know that your gun will work.  Hey Mike,Could you put that video back on this website from the shot show or from the Ruger plant again?????  Peoples want to see it again. 8) 8)

Another question for Michael...Does it have the dreaded lock like S&W.

The lock is inside of the grips on the right hand side and it is covered up.  It is in the unlock position but,,,,, you might want to just check it incase it might be locked from the factory.   Now, I just got off the phone with my Ruger rep and he told us that the shipping of these new LCR Revolvers by Ruger is sometime by the end of this month.  Customer Service might say the 2nd of this month that they were shipped.   The were shipped to the gun writers, gun testers, and Ruger Reps.  My Rep said that he has shot over a 1,000 rounds thru his LCR and not one malfunction or breakdown shooting 125+p rounds.    So check with your ffls and tell them to get a hold of their distributors to see this month what is left of it if they got any in yet and tell them also to put their names because you want one then, they will call your ffl and ship it.   rich642z 8)

I'm still operating under the assumption that the gun will come end of March.

Michael

My local Gander Mountain told me the LCRs will be delivered in early May.

Can't wait to check out the LCR myself. Never been much of a Ruger semi auto fan but fell in love the the LCP. Hoping the LCR will be just as much fun to shoot.

First thing i did when i read about it was to call up Rugers Norwegian importer and inquire for price and delivery time. Unfortunately they had no plans for stocking it at all this year (but would place a order with Ruger if anyone requested it), and sincerely doubted they'd get a hold of them at all before 2010 or so.  >:(

Not the end of the world, can't afford it at the moment  :'( but i really want one for snubby-competitions and for the fact that it's a polymer revolver.

Do other companies make those in Europe or is a new thing over there as well?
