Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Hmmm...... I have the 'Ultra-Lite' 2 1/2" Judge [22.5 Ounces].  ;D  Right now I'm carrying 3 Rnds of #4 and 2 .45 LC for Home Defense. I live in the middle of 300 houses and the limited penetration of the #4 Shot through walls is a plus. I've been looking for 000 Buck loads in 2 1/2" but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.  >:( >:(

My main question at this time is .... what effect, if any, would firing rifled Slugs through the rifled barrel?  The Taurus Manual is the "ALL Revolver" Type, and doesn't say anything Slugs.

You're not going to find them on the shelves. We even had a dedicated shotgun store, the late lamented New England Arms, and they didn't have them. You need to go on line or just get your dealer to order you some. (I'd buy a case). This may change with the popularity of the judge, but with ammo being a hot commodity, I wouldn't expect to see companies diverting resources to produce what is basically a novelty round. Taurus just basically screwed up by not chambering the thing to take the 3" shells which are widely available.

England's been trying to get to the Pacific since Sir Walter Ralleigh....leading to the colonization of NY & NJ & the East Coast... :P
Why, yes....I'm the right-wing extremist Obama warned you about... ;D

I just wish Texas was as free and independent as everyone thinks it is...   :'(

My local shop recently received a boat load. It's been out of stock since last year.

Hey guys I just bartered for a new stainless judge.  Box is marked 3" but I am unable to use 3" .410 shells in it.  Probably 3" is really for 3" barrel.  I thought they were coming out with a 3" chamber.  Anyway all of the 2 1/2 inch shell I can find are for skeet.  Heard that someone was going to start loading buck shot for the judge. Anyone seen any yet???

Thanks
Doc

Bird shot at close range is a killer, you can get their attention with both Buck & Bird shot! :o

Actually, bird shot at any range beyond point blank isn't a killer, particularly .410 coming out of a three inch barrel. As far as getting their attention, if I have to shoot somebody, I've already got it, and not in a good way. If you must own one of these toys, at least load it with the .45 colt (Haz would proud of me ::)) Otherwise you're just begging for pain.
