But the FN AR is sweet even if mags are $100 each, I' get at least 2 5 rounders for hunting and the rest 20's. Needs a GOOD scope to.

Tom, I'd get a couple dates with Angelina Jolie,, if I could afford it. ;D Remember one of the purposes of a tactical weapon is to help defend my stuff, if I have sell everything I own to buy it........l

Then what you have left is well protected. ;D But I got the impression that it was more a "Precision rifle" what with the GUARANTEED < 1 MOA. and 20 inch barrel. For the home I'd go with a SOCOM or AR style carbine.

I can't believe none of y'all took this gentleman to task for calling it an "assault" weapon.

The gentleman in question has no ime for PC bullshit. He will only stand corrected for failing to refer to it as a battle rifle. (Somehow, I'm not sure that's helpful. How about if I just call it Bob)? 8)

I went off on someone somewhere (on this forum) last week.  In an effort not to be labeled and extremest I try not to rip everyone on this one.  It is not as clear cut in most minds as a clip/magazine argument.  However, with the way the word "assault" has been thrown around this weekend I shouldn't be drinking caffeine this morning.

While I am on the verge of a rant, I am currently listing a couple items I want for my favorite varmint rifle.  According to Sarah Brady I will be turning a hunting rifle into an evil, nasty gun that should be banned.  I may or may not make it a true assault weapon, by their twisted definition, but that is yet to be determined based on what I put on it.

By the way, Little Tommy, do you want to know what pisses me off worse than the miss use of the word assault?  My computer is acting up, and just after you introduced Clapton I lost your program  :'(

That might cause a little confusion, as well as a few dry heaves, when you talk about fondling/ oiling up Bob.   :o

I was thinking about that till I saw "FN AR" then I just thought OOOH  ;D
Also, (yes it's a nit to pick) He didn't call it an "assault weapon" (PC BS) He called it an "assault RIFLE" which being Semi auto only it also isn't, but at least Assault RIFLES actually exist and have a technical definition.

I went to gander today to visit the rifle formerly known as assault and now known as bob. Bob was not home, however, I did see a sweet litlle bushmaster flatop with a 20'" flute barrel and a long metal hanguard/heat sheild sor only $1200. For Tom's benefit we'll call it Hillary. (although the yuch! factor when it comes to oiling/fondling still applies (just ask Bill). I was curious if any of y'all reading this insanity have ever fired a hillary or another long barreled Bushmaster

For some strange reason, the use of the terms 'Hillary" and 'Bushmaster' in the same sentence is making me queasy......  :-X   :-X
