I have A custom 245,one of 75 made. I thought it was all stainless ,but was told that it's nickle. How does nickle compare to other sig finishes? Will it chip or wear off within time?

I have a TwoTone 220 which has seen a little competition and a bunch of carry using a Galco Royal carrry and there is no wear of any kind. I would +1 Sig's nickle any day.
