Any CZ love in here??
« on: August 14, 2007, 03:22:30 PM »
Hi Michael.

I'm an unasbashed CZ fan from the good old days.

Really enjoyed your show on the CZ factory with Milan that you did a few years ago.

Knowing that there is at least one other CZ owner on here. Hello to Mr. Camp.

I wonder what your professional opinion of the current crop of CZ firearms happens to be?

Hope you can drop by the forum and take a look at my CZ-ZONE, too.

During my most recent shopping spurt I was lookin'- there's a dealer near me that usually has half a dozen CZ's and they seem well made and some are pretty sharp looking too- especially the higher end pistols.
I was concerned about parts & repairs and such and went main stream instead, but I could easily C a CZ in my future.
I got the blues as my companion.

I have one of the little mutants*, the CZ40P. I love it, shoots well, fits my small-ish hands well, no bite, lots of fun. Well made. Only negative is cleaning it requires a trip to the manual, has weird marks that have to align in the right sequence to drop the slide.

* Mutant cuz it has the frame of the P01 and the slide of the CZ40B. From reports I've heard, they stopped making these a short time after I bought mine, people who ordered the P got the B instead.

I have the CZ RAMI in 9mm. I was my carry gun for a long while. Used it in IDPA also. It is a great gun for me.

75B 9mm here.  I carry it fairly regularly on the ranch, and shoot it in competition when I can.

For the money I think the CZ75B is the best value out there.  For $400 (or less) you get an ALL Steal, very well built gun.

Ergonomics is only second to the Hipower.

It can be carried cocked and locked or hammer down.

The only issue I have is the camming action of the trigger in SA mode.  But that can be fixed.

I also like the CZ line , except the one I sold to a man who used the decocker and shot a HP thru his thigh , while he was showing it. He was a dealer and I sold it to him because I dont do 9mm . cant remember the series ,but it was new back in 93. It was a full size pistol and very nice, s/a d/a . Turned me off.

Hello.  My CZ's remain the Pre-B's that I bought years ago.  Not surprisingly, they continue to serve well.  I have seen several of the CZ-75B and 85 version pistols at the firing range.  Some were being used by CHL folks qualifying for their carry licenses and others by folks just practicing.  I've observed no problems with the guns used in CHL qualifications over the years.

Best.
