would you buy a new car off a car lot that needed a motor?
Why would you buy a gun that needs "work" to make it the way it should be from the gun shop?
You must be talking about a 1911, TAB; Glocks need no work. If you need to work on the trigger to get it to shoot for you, the problem isn't with the gun.....
This is a BIG misconception about them: Glocks were never intended to be tack drivers. They are intended to save your life. And to do that, they only need to be accurate enough and bloody reliable enough for the majority of the situations you might be involved with in a self defense shooting.
Your other points about the grip not being right or you didn't like the take up on the trigger are valid because they involve your personal preferences. If the gun doesn't feel right to you, it's not the right gun for you.
And one parting thought: Inside every 1911 owner is a Glock owner waiting to get out!
