I am interested in learning about your watching habits.

Regarding the questions, your answer might be a combination of all of them, but choose the one that describe you the most.

So you already understand the failure of most focus group questions. They ask the questions to which they want answers but
not the questions that need to be asked.

I watch commercials I have not seen before that present material in an interesting and informative way.

If I have already seen it a dozen times or it is clearly not A Team material I ruthlessly fast forward through it.

The most interesting commercial I stopped to watch recently was by SCI (Safari Club International) which used black screen
documentary style still pictures to explain the attacks of the PETA types against hunting around the country-(Bear hunts in
New Jersey, Dove hunting etc.)

Best regards,

I didn't vote because I'd need to mark all three, how I watch is dependent on my overtime schedule and day's off... ;D

Depends on if I'm awake or not.  I try to watch live but I set the VCR on Wed. incase I sleep through the shows on the Outdoor Network.  I'll admit that if I record it I'll fastforward the commercials unless it's something that I haven't seen or want to watch again.

Marshall,
After 33392 times of seeing the Lead Sled Commercial it does get a bit boreing. I do watch new commercials if I catch them as I am fast forwarding. The Sig Texas Ranger Commercial is another over exposed commercial for a great product. Downside of that one is they don't plug the .357 SIG in the ad.
Doing ads is an expensive proposition. But letting them run too long is counter productive.
I do like the Midway ads the first 2 times, but then . . . .  And I am a Midway customer and will remain one.
And I like Larry Potterfield's Gun Tips on American Rifleman and the little bits about older guns on Shooting Gallery. Those are informative and get across that Midway is there.
On the MB Podcast: the whole thing is a pitch. So, no need to run the SIG and Crimson Trace word ads over and over, just have MB say something nice about a SIG or CT product in use. I skip the ads on the podcast too.
Probably more than you wanted to know.

Best part of Midway USA commercials (IMHO)...Larry Potterfield saying "Thank you for the business".

More companies should follow his lead.

I watch some commercials and skip others.  I always watch the spots by Midway as Larry P presents new information each time.  Other advertisers should follow suit!

As many have said, I do record it with my DVR, and watch later, only skipping commercials that are boring or I've seen before, so there should have been another choice.

I record and fast forward.  I like the rifleman tips and other Midway commercials and stop for them.  But I have little kids and have to hurry through anything that might interest me so we can turn over to the cartoon network.  And that's the way it is.................
