flambeau plastics reloading trays Twin-60
« on: April 03, 2009, 09:02:33 PM »
Anybody else ever seen these reloading trays.    They were molded by Flambeau Plastics, probably as an OEM for somebody else.   I have 4 of them but would like some more.

They were yellow and had room for 60 rounds (not the usual 60) and were stamped "Twin 60".

I've checked Flambeau's web sites (plural) and can't find any mention of them.  (They're really known for the decoys and the game calls)   Google hasn't helped.

Didn't know these were valued items, but evidently they are much coveted. I have 4 but considering the reloading I'm doing lately, I'd like 4 more.  Out of production.....  One wonders if reloaders liked them so, why they're not still made?

Found two on eBay but seems like they'll probably go for more than $8ea.  These are very much like the Hornady universal trays which sell for ~$6, except they hold 60 rounds instead of 50.

Just a final followup.

The Flambeau trays closed for $9.25 ea on Ebay.   This for a similar new tray from RCBS is <$6.

I wrote Flambeau to ask them to think of at least a special run of trays.  If people are willing to purchase used ones for >$9 each then they should be good for at least a run of a couple of thousand.   If for nothing else for PR purposes.

The Flambeau customer service responded back to me the first thing the next morning.  Thanked me for the email and said they would pass this on to upper management.     +++++   I'll definitely put them on the good guys list of customer service.

Meanwhile if anyone has some they're not using.....send me a PM
