Yesterday the Iowa Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision, struck down a state law that banned same-sex marriage in the state. Here's where my confusion comes in......how is it possible that the Iowa Supreme Court could agree unanimously that the wording of the Iowa Constitution allows gay marriage, when a few months ago the SCOTUS was split over the meaning of the words "shall not be infringed?"

It's called '
insuring job security' by convincing 'normal' people that plain English continues to 'evolve' and needs to be explained or interpreted every now and then because it was sooooo '
confusing' the way it was originally spelled out in the Constitution.
