Bond 45/410 Illegal in Ca.?
« on: August 22, 2007, 08:32:03 PM »
Howdy Micheal,
I was listening to DRTV Radio and it got me thinking (Yeah, I know working without the proper tools) But isn't the .410/.45 colt Bond Derringer illegal in Ca.? I seem to remember that the Ca. DOJ considers it a sawed off shotgun. Is this correct or did I read some wrong information somewhere? Any Ca. members please chime in if you have an answer for me. Thanks

Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage. Where are we now??????

I think you are right. Any of the .410 handguns are considered sawed off shotguns. Of course I am working off memory, you might want to check out the state doj website to be certain. I am still planning my escape from the late great golden state.

No trigger guard? They make several models with triggerguards.

I've heard that if the barrel is a smooth-bore then it could be considered a "sawed-off shotgun," but weapons like "The Judge" bypass that law by having a rifled barrel.

It is rifled and the trigger guard is removable. I suggest calling Band and asking them...you'll love yours if you are able to get one...
