I'll take the Mustang, in any decade....they might actually have a factory warranty too!

CHALLENGER - MOPAR or No-car


It was a tough decision between a new challenger or my 07 Ram 2500 that I ended up buying. :( hopefully we still have gas and it is reasonably priced when I can buy a Toy!!

I owned a Mustang GT in the 5.0 liter era.... great car. Unfortunately, the current mustang lineup doesn't really offer an option in the $40k range with 400+ HP.....

The options are a meek 315hp around the cost of the Camaro 2SS or the 500GT special edition at over $45k:

I used to work for GM and my father retired from GM.......

He NEVER drove one.....!  

I live in the north, not far from where you went to college Rob.  Horsepower, rear wheel drive and snow don't really go together......

Maybe I'm just getting old but building cars for a niche market is what's wrong with the industry....that's why Toyota and Honda are kicking our asses....

Reasons.... Logic.... Explanations for why one is a better choice than the other outside of opinion would be much appreciated. I know which one I like more.

Anyone looked at them both and know significant reasons why one is superior?

Sorry Rob for getting off topic/missing the topic.  I was only looking at the SRT8 and once I decided to update my truck I quit getting serious about the car.
