Her idea of compromise is to dictate and we acquiesce. :'(

I guess I should be glad I don't own any firearms  ;D.  That evil commie...well I better stop.

I left my own comment.  Thanks for the heads up Haz.  I do have to crow a bit....I like that last line I added.  Any conservatives in Congress should drop that eunich comment about.

I hate when I come to remembrance of the bad old days.  You know, the days when we were intolerant, judgemental, and ignorant.  Those days when we were secure to walk anywhere at night, courteous to everyone and didn't have to worry that someone elected president from either party would trash the country.

We are so much better off now in our tolerant and diverse society of today, aren't we?  In the bad old days you could mail order a 22 from Sears and have it delivered by the U.S. Post Office to your doorstep with no federal paperwork or control.  Now we have appropriate controls and bureacrats and such a better society.  We should be so happy to have this Great Society which has brought us to the enlightenment that we enjoy today.

I can't wait to see what Nancy and her eunichs have in store for us tomorrow.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Some how I get the feeling that she isn't talking about our view of handling and using firearms in a safe manor  ???

My idea of compromise:

Only repealing the 1968 GCA this year.
Will work for ammo

A vote in the House for D.C. is a "civil rights Issue".  Just what the hell are my 2nd Amendment Rights?  Swiss cheese?

DC wasn't to have a vote for a simple reason: the framers wanted it to remain neutral ground, owned by every state - a place for the Federal Government to be centered.  If I remember correctly DC is overseen by the Congress.

Last I heard you were allowed to move out of DC if you really had a jones for your very own representative and 2 senators. All the Dems want is more libs in Congress. Pretty thin veil on that issue.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

"Right now, we have the debate in Congress over the District of Columbia wanting a vote on the floor of the House, something we all want. That's a civil rights issue," she said, pledging to find "middle ground" on the issue. "And, yet, they want to put a gun…bill, attach that to that. I don't — I don't think that that should be the price to pay to have a vote on the floor of the House."

Would have loved to hear a strong interviewer ask her what the Amendments to the Constitution are if they aren't also Rights ... Rights that are such a strong part of what is not only good for the citizens of the United States individually but for the Nation as a whole.

What part of the 2nd amendment ISN"T a civil right?

Gun laws come after regular Joes like us, they never go after the criminals that buy illegal firearms. I have never purchased an illegal firearm on the street, yet the laws come after me all the time. The worst thing for me is I live in California so I'm proper screwed. The cherry on top is these losers killing at random that make us look like crazy heat packing loons. Laws need to go after criminals not ME! >:(

Don't you understand??? ??? If we disarm the people, then the criminals wouldn't need guns!! Geez I thought Miss Brady cleared this one up already. ;)  But seriously, I look at it this way: How many times have you seen some idiot driver and muttered " Where's a cop when you need one? " Well where do you think they are going to be when you REALLY need one Nancy!!!
