No, but I think they are taking alot of heat right now because of the focus on the Mexican Drug Cartel situation.  Some politicians need to step back and reevaluate the situation before making statements.  There are 3 other states bordering Mexico, and I'm sure they have their share of problems also.

Build the border wall.  It will promote employment, and stimulate the economy there.  Dig the foundation deep and use lots of rebar.  Then all we have to do is deploy more coast guard units to critical areas.  It's not that hard to figure out?  We can send a crew into outerspace, but we can't build a wall to keep our troublemaking neighbors out?

Oh, and before we start bashing Texas, and other border states about illegal guns, drugs, or aliens, maybe Mexico ought to step up to the border and take their illegals, drug and gun runners back with them, and put them in their own prisons.  I'm tired of paying taxes to support illegals in our prison system.

Everyone:

Let's see:

Let's test Texas's terror threat assessment capabilities based on voting habit:

Anti-abortion--check

Pro-Gun--check

Anti-gun control--check

Predominantly Christian--check

Military bases--check

Returning soldiers--check

Against high taxes (no state tax in Texas)--check, check

Anti-illegal immigration--check

Against an overreaching federal government--check

Conservative--check

Extreme right-wing (according to Democratic Party standards)--check

Understands Article 1, Section 8--check

Understands the 10th Amendment--check

Rejects federal authority in favor of state or local authority--check

Gee these are the qualities that I would expect from my Neighbors friends, and state government.  i think it is time to move.

I don't think the lefties should start blaming California for any of the weapons going across the border. That would mean that assault weapon bans don't work! Oh, and how did a couple of those officers in Oakland get shot with an assault weapon, when those guns are illegal here? They need to stop passing laws against the lawful. They're turning us into a soft state for hard criminals.
