Calling all DRTV Rangers
« on: April 17, 2009, 12:24:30 PM »
There is currently a bill in committee in my State Senate that would remove restrictions on CWP holders having firearms in their vehicles while on any school or educational institute property, public or private. Also, it would do the same for CWP holders in establishments that serve alcohol -- i.e. restaurants (This needs to be removed b/c it is redundant and dangerous as it is already illegal to drink alcohol while carrying concealed). I think we should all contact the SC state senators and representatives and Governor to show support for this bill. Please help by emailing as many as possible.

17 April 2009

Regarding: Bill S.347

To The Honorable Legislators and Leaders of The Great State of South Carolina,

I am writing to you today from your neighboring state of Georgia to show both solidarity and support  for the Second Amendment rights of my brethren in South Carolina. I earnestly urge you to please support the passage of S.347.
We have similar laws already on the books here in Georgia and I can attest to the fact that it can and does allow an even greater level of safety to those good people who wish to exercise their right to self protection.
It has been statistically shown time and time again that law-abiding, licensed firearms carriers are not the people that need to be worried about and this legislation would serve to extend their God-given Second Amendment freedoms without jeopardizing the safety of others.
Again, I urge you to move forward with the passage of S.347 for the freedoms and safety of the good people of South Carolina, and I greatly thank you for your concerns in this matter of importance.

Sincerely,

C. Goins, Jr.
State of Georgia, USA

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. - George Washington
