It won't be 9mm, but Sig has a .22 conversion kit.  It won't have the same bang, but it will be cheaper and easier to get.

As far as 9mm, my carry gun is a .40 XD sub comp. and if I get a 9mm barrel and mags or a .357 Sig barrel, I can shoot those as well.

Just an aside, but the Sigs and the Glocks; talk about your beauties and beasts, but I digress.  Hope you find some ammo to sling downrange.

This year Sig is also making the 220, 226 and 229 in .22 rimfire versions. You can't tell them apart from the full sized counterparts. These aren't to be confused with the Polymer framed "Mosquito". The .22 Sigs run around $500.00, and are a cheaper alternative to shoot, especially with the rising cost of ammunition.  Bill T.

Hello.  Yes, very much so.  I like the cartridge in several loadings and many of the pistols chambered for it.

This is my first Browning Hi Power.  It was bought new in 1971 (when it was made) and customized by gunsmith, Lou Williamson, a year or two later.  I still shoot it all these years later.

This little FNP-9 is not a favorite, but it seems to work fine and I have no tangible complaints with it other than the sights being a little small for my tastes...and ever-aging eyes...

Without question, this one is my most expensive, but it is not a favorite.  Though extremely accurate and reliable, spare parts cost a fortune if they can be found and as expensive as it is, I dare not try and bob the hammer spur to alleiviate its bad biting habit! I like this SIG P210-6 but prefer other nines to it overall.

Neither this Glock 17 or 26 are favorites, but they have proven themselves reliable in the extreme.

This old Taurus PT92 has never let me down in the years I've owned it.  The sights could be better, but this one's been a really fun gun and one that does remain loaded 24/7.

This CZ-75 Pre-B has been refinished, different stocks added and the hammer bobbed.  Its sights could be a bit more "high visibility" but still, it can be used effectively, I think.

I have used 9x19mm in various forms for nearly 40 years now and have been pretty well pleased with it.  For fun, it's great and in these ammunition-starved times, its cost seems a bit more "reasonable" than some. With some of the more effective loads, I am not hesitant to use it for "serious purposes".

Best to all.

Years ago when someone would mention 9mm I would ask,"why? I have 45's".
I have a lot of 45's but due to current ammo prices my recent and future purchases will be in 9mm.
I have a Para P-18 (9mm) and I love it. Little recoil, fun to shoot all day long.

Up until lately, the only 9mm I have ever really considered was the Hi-Power, because it just feels good in the hand.
Now, due to ammo prices being what they are, I wouldn't mind having a 9mm set up in a 1911 so I could shoot a little cheaper.

Everyone:B

I have a CZ-75B in 9mm.  It is an excellent gun and fulfills my need for a 9mm.   I do nto think I will be buying another 9 mm in the future.

Thanks
John

Stephen,

That 210 is gorgeous! Guard it like a jealous husband guards his wife. One of the finest ones I've seen in that model.  Bill T.

Quit cussin' on the board! ! !

EDIT:  SEVERAL OF US HAVE HAD BAD EXPERIENCES WITH THE mosquito...Haz and others put it in the POS category.  The comment had nothing to do with you ! ! !

I've got one....not my favorite either, but it has never let me down on the range.  The thing digests every 9MM factory and reload I've thrown at it...100%.  I can't say that about my other 9's.  I will say that I loaned it to a colleauge for a class and he limp wristed it really bad and had some problems...but he was limp wristing it so bad that he probably would have jammed a revolver.

Hello.  No, no failures so far.  It's now got perhaps 2500 rounds through it.

Best.
