How is the LDA trigger im thinking of getting a para. I have a SA od green myself and is lots of fun.

I've shot a bunch of LDAs,( 10-15) its a long pull that stacks right towards the end, they also have a long reset( atleast by 1911 standards)  Its kind of like a really light wieght DA revoler pull, but alot shorter.  You won't have a "glass rod brake" like most single actions.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

They have a .38 Super model as well. I believe Armscor also makes a Hi power clone as well. I would expect it to be just as good a value.

Well, good news and bad.

I finally got to the range yesterday with demonpi,  and had a chance to shoot the Para.  OMG, what a nice piece! Love the LDA, no significant creep, nice crisp break, very comfortable shooter. In keeping with my other guns, shot low-end ball ammo, Blazer first, then some other stuff I had never heard of but had in my miscellaneous collection. Shot it all, no FTF/FTE. I all but cried when I read the price tags on the older boxes. $12 for 50 rounds?  :'(

Due to the lack of .45ACP ammo availability, and the fact that I cannot find my giant box of Magtech ammo somewhere in the garage, I didn't shoot too many rounds. I think I'll order a bunch from Georgia Arms . . .

Bad news? I got to talking with demnonpi, shooting his tacticool prize won from right here, then headed home for dinner - and I forgot to bring in the target!

I once forgot my GUNS going to the range. Ammo, range bag, targets, Ear and Eye protection, bottled water, CHECK.

Left the guns in the safe, realized it a couple miles down the road.

It's all good. ::)

.............- and I forgot to bring in the target!

A likely story....   ;)
