A GUNMAN is holding five crew members hostage on a passenger jet in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Authorities said all 169 passengers have been released.

A Montego Bay police officer said a shot had been fired after the gunman, whose motives were unknown, breached security about 10 pm local time on Sunday (1pm Monday AEST) to force his
way aboard the Halifax, Nova Scotia-bound CanJet charter flight at Sangster International Airport.

The officer, who asked not to be identified because he had not been authorised to discuss the hostage situation, said no one had been injured.

Most of the passengers released from the CanJet plane had been taken to Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay, some of them suffering from shock, he said.

He said the man holding the five crew members was armed with a handgun. The officer was unable to give any further details in a telephone interview from the Caribbean resort.

wait for the blame THE USA for the guns comments peoples
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them
