Here is the reason for my behind the ear shot, works on anything up to elephant. The Lady is my wife, rifle Remington model 7, caliber 7mm/08, load  139 grn, Hornaday light magnum, factory. 1 shot behind the ear at 65 yards.

That my friends is an East Texas Grizzly, AKA, russian boar, 400 lbs of him. Shot on the Trinity river very near Palestine Texas. The picture looks a little funny because the hog hair is wet.

Easiest was is wait untio the weather is reallllly cold and the ponds are frozen.  Cut a hole in the ice.  put a line of peas around the hole.  When the racoon comes to take a pea you kick him in the icehole.
