Quote
Attorney General Eric Holder says he is concerned that a law limiting the use of gun-trace data may be too restrictive.

Holder said at a congressional hearing that the so-called Tiahrt amendment - the subject of a long-running legislative battle between opponents and supporters of gun control - may limit evidence-sharing by state and local authorities.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a national gun control advocate, has long urged Congress to abolish the Tiahrt amendment. Gun rights advocates say the legislation only prevents frivolous lawsuits against gunmakers.

The attorney general said the Obama administration has not yet come to a firm conclusion on the Tiahrt amendment.

Why wouldn't AG Holder want to let the BATFE go into say the gun store you just purchased your AR from, and copy, file, and keep record of what and when you bought that AR.

Grubby little fingers from Big Brother.... Evidently, a NICS check and 4473 aren't enough.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
