I've got a coil gun that holds 150... ubber deadly.  lots of guys have hurt themselfs( myself inculded) with nail guns.   nothing like pulling a nail from your finger with a pair of channel locks.  Wtap it in duct tape and get back to work.

Job Site First Aid is an amazing thing, I too have been there and done that.  As long as I can;t see bone or need stitches.

Napkins and Duct tape has gotten me through more than one slice, cut, scrape, puncture, tear, etc,...

It's those old fashioned Estwing hammer hits thumb thing that pisses me off.

super glue also works great for razor cuts.  infact the ER/OR uses it( slightly diffrent form)  will even let you keep working when you do need stichs.  Always cracks me up when a home onwer sees me do something like  drill a smashed thumb or wrap a cut in duct tape...

yea   we  are waiting on a buy back on S/A Nail Guns 

and a baning on Nail guns that can hold more than 10 Nails at a time 

also I am expecting a special license for anyone that has a nail gun that uses size 6 or larger nails . 


another thing is restrictions on hammers.  they will need to be stored in a safe that is locked  and if under 150kg's it must be bolted to the house

for those that have Nail Guns  they will need to be in an approved safe that is 6mm or thicker.

He sure pissed someone off!!!!!!  Putting serial #'s on each nail would have prevented that!

Yep...+100 on that too.

And, I found that 'good' (3M) electrical tape works even better because it is more water proof and is more flexible. Paper towels on the cut and a layer of electrical tape and you're good as new.

Back when I was a contractor I had gotten down to look at a problem with some floor framing on a remodel. One of my carpenters was on a step ladder with a framing gun. He started down the ladder and dropped the gun hand down to be safe....right onto the top of my head. Of course I dropped to my knees. After a minute I realized what had happened and remembered a picture of an xray of a guy with a 16d in his scull. I kept saying, "Did you have your finger on the trigger" and he kept saying no, but I had a mark on my head that could have very easily been the spot where a nail went in.

After a while we decided that I had just been hit on the head with a big metal object. Scary as hell though. The good news is that ALL that training (gun training for carpenter helpers) about keeping your finger off the trigger paid off BIG TIME for me.

I think I saw that same xray in Fine Homebuilding magazine.  Newby coming doen the ladder and bumbed the guy below in the head with the gun with his finger on the trigger.
