Glock 24
« on: April 26, 2009, 09:09:37 PM »
Wanted to pick up a Glock 35 at a Gun Show Saturday. All I was able to find was a Glock 24 .40 S&W. I had never seen one and decided to purchase it. Looking forward to shooting it soon and read online that it could not be used for competition.  Not sure if this is true or not???  ??? The price tag was better than my Glock 21. Was able to get it NIB for $599.
Anyone have any experience with a Glock 24?

A lot of people like them and you got a good price, I'm not a fan of the .40, but they do seem to shoot well, as far as not being able to compete, not in IDPA, but definitely, Uspsa, steel plates, and so on. Not a bad deal at all, if you can get ammo. Unfortunately the question of the day.

I had both a 24 and a 17L in the old days.... traded/upgraded them when the 34 and 35 came out... you should have no trouble with it!
I actually used my 24 in The Sportsmen's Team Challenge competition in 98 or so.... not sure why you wouldn't be able to use it now...

Put 50 rounds through the Glock 24 today. Had to use Pow'rBall ammo. Shot high. Had a mag of American Eagle by Federal and you could drive tacks with it. Extremely accurate at various distances, 7, 15, 25 yards and more. Was not sluggish and fired like a charm. I must say it was a good investment.
