I bought one a few months ago and regret it every day.  Their was an ongoing issue with the safety reengaging after every other shot.  Sccy sent me new safety but it's the same safety mechanism.

I LOVE the feel of the compact but well crafted gun but would never feel safe using it as a defensive weapon.  I'd steer clear unless you have found one that doesn't do this.

Just buy a Kel-Tec P11. It's the same pistol, just without the safety.

DDMack has had problems with the PF-11.  Cracked slide!

I think I tried to warn you Green Mountain Gringo and when you showed a photo of gun porn I saw a Skyy/SCCY. Mine did the same thing on the range and my wife told me it did not fire. I thought she was kidding and it did not fire for me. Got rid of that gun as fast as I could and purchased a Glock 21 SF.
At the Gun Show I attended Saturday, the booth where I picked up my Glock 24 the guy who was armed was wearing a Skyy. I did not have the nerve to tell him that his handgun (Skyy) was crap.

Yes you did and you were right.  To be honest though, I haven't tried the guns since swapping the safeties.....but I don't have high hopes for it.

I bought a Kel Tec when they first came out. Took about three months to get rid of it. Never bought another, never will. Not any model, not at any price.

Just as a rule, stay away from any handgun that uses a plastic tooth pick as a guide rod.

CJ,

I'm one of those types that NEVER buys the first one.  I figure there will always be problems with the 'first' of anything.

I have a 2nd gen P3AT and it has never failed.
