Jumping in for a moment, my look alike Kel-Tec is a PF-9. Super skinny. The slide cracked after less than 1000 rounds of range ammo. Sent it back and received new slide, mag release and magazine. Now carrying my S&W, .40, while trying to get back confidence in the little KT 9mm. It's just SO easy to carry!! Like Haz, my P3AT works like a champ.

I bought a Kel Tec when they first came out. Took about three months to get rid of it. Never bought another, never will. Not any model, not at any price.

Just as a rule, stay away from any handgun that uses a plastic tooth pick as a guide rod.
I agree with you on the kel-tec. I owned my P-11 less than two months. It was reliable but I hated, loathed, despised and abjured the trigger. I now have a Glock 26, which I will hopefully get to shoot for the first time tomorow. My only point of contention is that Glock also uses a plastic guide rod and they work just fine. I have yet to hear of anyone complain about a Gock from a durability standpoint. If you don't mid a 9ilb trigger (I do) than the kel-tec for the same money might be the way to go. They also make a metal guide rod that is pretty cheap (I want to say less than $20 bucks but check their website.
