My uncle used to have a black lab with bad hips that we called TimTim  ;D

Thanks Mike, that makes me feel soooooo much better..... ;D

Yes, four times, all on one side.  And M'ette, it was a Chrysler Minivan, not a "Jeepers".... ;D

Broken hip, four ribs, scapula, four vertebrae, ruptured spleen, ruptured kidney, four dislocated toes, a big dent in my chest, concusion, crushed eyesocket and cheekbone!  Yes, I was wearing a kevlar helmet and anyone who doesn't really needs to think twice and consider what their family would do without them.....It WAS a lovely day though..... ;)

Did you even NOTICE the dislocated toes, or did you just take the word of the kings horses and the kings men ?
Was there anything you DIDN'T break, chip, crack, dislocate or scuff ?

No, not really but since I couldn't walk for nearly a year, it didn't matter.  Now they bug the crap out of me because they didn't fix 'em...the foot is numb but I still have one!

My rugged good looks..... ;D

You wouldn't have to...... while you were off galavanting around the countryside, on your working trips, and we were stuck here with no one to watch over us with so much time on our hands and all.............we decided to put in a mini fridge, some recliners, a poker table, a gun cabinet, and a 42'' plasma...... We sometimes send ourselves to the corner now...... Its become our new man cave! ;)

There....that sounds much better.........

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

It has been posted before, (by me, I think), it doesn't matter. Maybe some new members haven't seen it.

I'll answer the question with why I DON'T carry a firearm:

I don't carry a gun to kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don't carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.
I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid. I carry a gun because there are real threats in this world.
I don't carry a gun because I am evil. I carry a gun because I've lived long enough to see the evil in the world.
I don't carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.
I don't carry a gun because I'm angry. I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don't carry a gun because my sex organs are too small. I carry a gun because I want to continue to use those sex organs for the purpose they were intended for a good long time to come.
I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because a real man knows how to take care and protect their property, themselves and the ones they love.
I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because unarmed and facing armed thugs I am inadequate.
I don't carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
I don't carry a gun to shoot to kill someone. I carry a gun and would shoot as necessary to stay alive. If the assailant dies as a result of a desire to harm me, it's no loss to society.
