If you want to see some good army training points with the M1, check this out.

http://www.archive.org/details/Rifle_Marksmanship_with_M1_Rifle_Part_1

Its a download.  I have both part 1 and 2

There's still a little propaganda in it in a way.  (I just don't see any D.I. being so nice.)

Very good.

Here's a link to get a PDF copy of the book that was to accompany it.

http://www.archive.org/details/How_to_Shoot_the_US_Army_Rifle

The download is in the upper left corner and has the 37 Megbyte size.

Damn! If only I'd known my M1 carbine was an effective 300 yd weapon, I'd not have sold it. ::)

I'd love to have one of those GI 45mm pistols...as well as one of those Browning .30 MG's for the next time I need to trim trees....  ;D
Why, yes....I'm the right-wing extremist Obama warned you about... ;D

I just wish Texas was as free and independent as everyone thinks it is...   :'(

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Believe it or not, I remember seeing that film when I was in High school ROTC in the 60's.
