Ahh... I saw your thread over on the Brian Enos forum ... "the things I learned at the Single Stack Nat's".

Michael Bane was definitely there last year.  I got to sit and eat dinner with him and Patrick Sweeney for a little while.  There were really too many interesting conversations going on for me to keep track of everything that was said.  Besides that, Michael's shirt was so loud, I don't think any of us actually heard what he was saying.   :P

Anywhooo.... what I learned last year at the Single Stack was:

1.  don't switch between 200 grain lead SWC's and 230 grain lead round noses right in the middle of the match (hey, I ran out of boolits of one type when I was reloading).  Poor, little me, didn't know the gun's zero would change so much between the types of boolits.   :o

2.  shooting SWC's at a major match doesn't really help.  The carboard targets are doubled up, so SWC's don't cut as clean a hole as if you were back at your local club just shooting one layer of cardboard

3.  and lastly, as an RO, make sure your name is in the hat for the RO only gun, frame, and slide drawings/raffle.  Don't leave it up to some admin "person" at the match.

<Forest Gump voice on>

And that's all I got to say about that.
