We Can Not Forget
« on: September 12, 2007, 01:13:53 PM »

My son sent this to me and it was sent to him by a friend of his who is a history professor and an expert in foreign affairs.  I am going to post it for everyone to watch, with the same reasons and the same comments that was made when it was  sent to him.
Anyone ..anywhere in the United States that watches this will have to feel 100 different emotions.. And they flood your soul all at one time, gradually rising and falling during the whole of this movie.
With people jumping on the band wagon to bring our troops home and stop going to war..............well, I don't think that they have really thought about what the outcome of that will really be.
We have GOT to all stand together.. United we stand and Divided we will fall.  Not only with our 2nd amendment rights but ALL of our God given rights as Americans. And unfortunately those rights do not come free.
Surround  our troops with your prayers, thoughts and verbal word support..
for what is put out in the universe in this manner will reverberate the world with it's message.

This professor said that this was the best audio-visual presentation he had seen concerning September 11th.  He also said it was very important for people to watch this and take some time for reflection.  Reflection about WHY we are at war.  He made a very disturbing comment and I will share it, since he is very familiar with that region and what is going on and I am almost dumb when it comes to these things.

He said anything less than victory in this region is suicide for America.  If this area is unstable it will be taken by Iran and turned into a safe haven for extremists around the world.  Iran is very close to having a nuclear weapon and when they get it, they won't use it.  He claims that they will sell it to Al Qaeda and let them use it.  Over 3,000 people lost their lives on 9-11.  If that same explosion was a nuclear one, it climbs to over 3 million.

This is the link to the presentation.  It is a bit long... and for some will take a while to load... but go do something else why it does and then come back and watch. It is well worth it..and you will be nothing less than riveted to your chair and emotionally speechless  while viewing this.

I think it brings things back into perspective for us.  I like the term that was used, "We Will Never Forget."

Thank you for sharing.

I tend to think it's more of a narcissism issue with some folks rather than a faulty memory. Most of us live relatively comfy, secure lives and a great many people don't want to trouble themselves dealing with the realities of what it takes to secure that lifestyle. It's an untidy fact of life; some problems can't be dialogued away - they need killing.

We don't forget...we know too many people who lost someone or came close to being in that mess.

We have a song called We the People...not about 9/11 but about the US and the good stuff... we always put it out in our email newsletters around9/11
I'll send it to anyone in MP3 form if you send me a personal email. (Don't want to muddy things up on DRTV)

Warning...it's 3.5 Meg.
I got the blues as my companion.
