Tactical PENS

I recently purchased a "tactical" pen offered by SureFire. It's their 1st generation of tac pen.

I really bought the thing just because, in my mind, it can never hurt to have a little extra advantage over the bad guy. But the reasons for choosing this particular model was 1) It didn't have a cap that I could lose and 2) It is able to use several different refill cartridges.

Now I find myself wanting more tactical pens. It seems I have a psychological need to collect things I find 'cool' (AKA tac-ti-cool).

I would like to know if any of the DRTV forum members have acquired other brands and styles of tactical pens and their reasons for them. Before long, I think I will end up with one of everything but would like some personal experiences on each of them so I can get an idea of which order to buy them in. 

I also have little doubt that these objects will soon be banned as well under the current administration because, as everyone knows, the pen is mightier then the sword.

BTW, the SCHMIDT easyFLOW 9000 cartridge that comes in the SureFire is an excellent writing pen.

I'm a big fan of these as well... owned several different kinds, but I've settled on the Benchmade offerings.

Both pens by Benchmade are Great... I like the larger one, but I've been carrying the smaller (newer) version for several months to "try it out"... it is definitely less obviously a weapon, but it is also less of a weapon!

The nice thing about the larger Benchmade is that it is still smaller than many of the other options, some of which are just too big to b carried conveniently when you dress in jeans & a T-shirt....

I looked heavily into the Benchmade pens. Only 2 things that stopped me from buying one. One was the cap... I know in my infinite stupidity, I would lose the thing. Two, the fact that if you accidentally dropped it, it would most likely punch a hole into whatever it hit... Especially my leg. 

Was wondering though, are they as sharp as they actually look? Haven't gotten a chance to fondle one yet.

Just saw the Cold Steel "Sharkie" advertised in the "Blue Press".  It's $5.99 from Dillon and is a real marker but is designed as a self defense tool.  Might get one myself.
