This is not gun related, but it does tie into governmental control of our lives. And since I believe that every area of our life that they take control of opens the door to another area, this is worth watching.
http://www.mankatofreepress.com/local/local_story_127221828.htmlAs you read the article you need to know that Mankato and Sleepy Eye hospitals, and most in the area, are controlled by Mayo, so they are really only getting one oppinion as they go from one to the next. Also, Mayo, even tho they have done wonerfull things, are very aggressive in their use of chemicals. They are also very high pressure and do not take no or stop for an answer. A year ago when we found that my father-in-law had balder cancer that was inoperable (due to his age and other health issues) they recommended very aggressive chemo and radiation. When F-I-L and the entire family said no (F-I-L's actual words to me when he looked to me for help when we were alone was "it's been 87 good years, Don't screw it up now") the doctor got real pushy and then threw a tantrum as he left the room
How close are we to families, especially parents, losing the right to live their lives according to their personal, religious or cultural beliefs?
This case ties into many others that have dealt with health care of children or spouses, religious up bringing of children, safety issues in the home (storage of guns and even the question of if you can adopt children if you own firearms), and content of the meals we eat. These cases bear watching!
