Be-Wharned

The wharncliffe blade design is one of the most functional utility patterns ever developed. Thanks to the efforts of edged-weapon designer and trainer Michael Janich, it has also earned a reputation as an incredibly potent personal defense design. Janich’s new Be-Wharned features an aggressive, satin-finished AUS8A stainless steel blade that provides extreme cutting performance for its size. It is mated to a handle constructed of hardened 420J stainless steel liners nested into textured black G-10 scales. A sturdy liner-lock mechanism, exceptional ergonomics, and a four-position clothing clip complete the package, making the Be-Wharned one of the most advanced tactical folding knives available today.

I'm not a big fan of liner locks but I do like the needle sharp tip of that blade so I'd give it a thumb up.

Looks good.  Unfortunately I can't open a knife with a stud...have to have assisted.

Interesting update on his Spyderco Yojimbo design.  I like the 4 way clip, and dual studs are a requirement.  The blade spine looks stronger than the Yojimbo, and it's about a half inch longer.  I like the Yojimbo handle shape (and length) better.
Finally, as a lefty, I don't like righty liner locks.

p.s. it's REAL EASY to snap the tip off of these.  I like using any item I carry for multiple tasks.

I'll be very hesitant to spend $100 on the folder. For me the pinnacle of the folder knife design is the Opinel knife. They've been around for more then a century, and their twist lock design is the most secure and simple in the world IMHO.
One can have a very good folder with the carbon steel blade for around $12. I personally carry Opinel#8 carbon blade.
