Richard,  It has nothing to do with your spelling.  I simply have no idea what yer talking about "mettett".  Is that a sight maker or type of sight or...??

Saw the reissue 1911 GI issue, at the NRA annual meeting, just what they suggest, 1911 hammer, safety, grip safety and sights, different kind of lanyard ring, plastic mainspring housing and trigger, but pretty nice none the less. I personally like the original 1911 safety, very easy to engage and disengage, not pretty but positive.
