I have a local guy that reloads (commercial) that will also reload to your specs.  I have him build CMJ 250 grn over 22 grains of H110 that ends up at about 12 fps and lots of flame.  FUN round!

At home I keep her stoked with cowboy 250 lead (900 fps).  BIG, SLOW. KNOCK DOWN!  Been dooing the job for over 100 years ;)

At that speed, I almost expect a little flag with the word BANG! to pop out instead.........  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Vodka and Pepsi you said earlier?          ;)
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

The Girl I took shooting, wants me to help her get a purchase permit for a hand gun, and she looking at a refurbed Sig P226.  I guess my 1911 is elegant and good shooter, but old school ::).  She is also getting her degree in criminal justice and wants to become and LEO.

She very much wants to become a regular shooter, and has told some of her friends that I am patient and safe if they want to go.  Patience is truly a virtue I reckon.

The P226 is full size, generally a little large for a woman.  The P229 or P239 might be a little better for size.  The P239 is a little top heavy but far easier to conceal and carry.  It's up too her, my daughter has a P228 which became the P229 and it's OK but she doesn't carry it very often.  My kid is pocketsized at 5'1"...fits her hand well.

Did you just reccomend a Glock 26 Haz? Why yes you did! Shocking, I never thought I'd see the day. :o ;D In all seriousness, I just got this gun a few weeks ago and have since drunk as much Kool-Aid as Eric. Its more comfortable than the 17 grip wise and just as accurate out to 15 yards. This is an amazing gun. For a female shooter, I would highly reccomend she rent one and shoot it. Sigs are nice and I'll never say anything bad, but for less, $$$ the G26 is one hell of a pistol. I always liked liked Glocks, but but  always put "perfection"in quotes. With the 26, there are no quotes. This thing is the real deal.

You have to 'try on a few to fit your mitt" like shoes the are NOT  going to feel the same as somebody suggests..
Expecially to a female shooter. Weight and recoil willl be a factor. Most guys will take this into consideration but trying out the actual  firearm at a range will be the deciding features...
