Ugly darn piece of history. But with the moon clips and break action it probably reloaded nearly as fast as a 1911.
British guns had a reputation for being rugged and reliable but why did they have to make them all so darn homely ?
The only British designed guns with pleasing lines were the Double rifles and shot guns.
CJ, this is NOT a slam at your cool acquisition, (especially if you already have the Colt, Now you need the S&W and a 1911
) It's just a rant about British design. The only other countries that consistently design guns with nice lines are the Germans, Other countries might come up with a nice one now and then, (except Japan who NEVER made an attractive firearm) but generally they build stuff that looks like clubs.
