You won't hear me whining about the days when they had signs "No Irish need apply".

Or inventing a psuedo-english language, making up words, phrases, code-words, etc. And if it has 4 letters it's ok, no more than 5 allowed! Or celebrating made-up holidays (stolen from others) or stopping their cars in the middle of the highway to 'rap' - won't even pull over (usually 2 cars abreast!). Not to mention 'music' (as they call it) from their boom boxes & cars until the nuts & bolts vibrate off  as well as anyone nearby (within a mile). Granted we have some of all races that have adopted this 'culture'. They have been called many things including N-word with a W (for wannabe), but I call them all Obama voters.

Who cares what color you are as long as you are polite, educated, sincere & moral - they don't need to be my values, but at least have some!!! I met one of the most intelligent, educated & nicest person you could ever want to meet last week while i was in South Carolina. You could talk to this guy for hours & although you may not agree with everything he says or does, he at least has convictions that he upholds (not from the courts either!!). Oh & he was black, not that it matters & what a great family he had too. We need diversity in this country, but not stupidity or prejudice - all people can & do get along when they wish & then there are the others....

I can't be a racist, I'm Scots Irish, we're like the negros of the anglo world. ;D

I feel oppressed. ;)

Actually, it's worse than that.  Irishmen were the negros of the negro world in New Orleans.  The aristocracy of New Orleans sacrificed tens of thousands of Irish lives building a canal system.  They died in such numbers that some are buried in the levees in some places.  Irishmen were cheap.  They entered the nation legally and were treated far worse than black slaves or the illegal Mexican hordes that stream across our borders today.

In comparison with today's population....I suspect it's like millions dying over a few years with nary a wimper and barely a footnote in history.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Watched the movie with Tom Berenger about the San Patricios two days ago.  The San Patricios were a group of Irish men that deserted the American Army because of the racism against them by non-Catholics and American born soldiers.  In on scene, a guy is on a city street, holding a newspaper with an article decrying about how the Irish are stealing jobs from real Americans.  How ironic when you read and hear the comments of the illegals coming over now.  I know, "it's different" than back then.

John Casas wrote a book "Federico Villalba's Texas".  It is about Federico Villalba, immigrated to the Big Bend area of Texas in the early 1900's.  Federico Villalba was my great-uncle and John Casas is his great-grandson.  My aunt, sister of my father, 98 years old, remembers the family and my great-uncle.  It is available from Iron Mountain Press and Barnes and Noble carries it.  Good reading.

My father's family in the mid-1800's used to farm in the Big Bend country and return to Mexico for the winter.  In 1870, my great-grandfather decided to stay in Texas.  My grandfather was two years old, born in Mexico.  The stories of racism in Texas against Mexicans, born here or Mexico are endless.  From this family, we have family members serving the US military and fighting in every war since WWI.

Any serious study of racism IN AMERICA will lead you to realize that there were ALWAYS underlying economic pressures at work.
Examples, Whites wanted to farm the land the Indians were hunting on so they must be inferior as were not "properly" utilizing the land, when they fought back to keep what they considered theirs they became "savages" not fit to live.
Americans moving into the Southwest also wanted farmland so the more laid back "Mexicans" became "lazy" and needed to be got rid of, never mind that they had owned the land since stealing it from the Indians generations earlier. Anti black racism got its real start after the Civil war in the North when freed slaves came north to work in the factories where they were competing for jobs with the flood of European immigrants. The common factor was that in all cases someone stood to gain through lower costs of land or labor by keeping groups divided.

Since that POS got nominated there have been a few posts made that drew criticism about "Racism". Well I would like to take this opportunity to clarify some things. The people who make these accusations are Hypocrites, B O took 96% of the black vote, leading dems made comments like "If you don't vote for Obama you are a racist", The ONLY ones who mentioned race during the campaign were the dems. The rest of us would not have cared if he was green, we still would not have voted for the no experience damn communist.
If we now use the worst stereotypes of blacks to ridicule him, (what does Obama's election mean, one more black family in public housing) it is not because we are racist, it is because we do not respect this windsock that got elected by liberal white guilt. (or the fools that voted for some one with such a questionable background, no experience, and no loyalty) You will notice that these types of comments are NOT made about Condi Rice,or Thomas Sowell who we all respect. Even Colin Powell, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who we DISAGREE with strongly are not ridiculed this way. The reason for that is simple, whether we agree with them or not we recognize that they EARNED their positions through hard work. BO  on the other hand has never worked at anything in his life beyond BS kissing socialist ass.
Also, the majority of the people who post here are supporters of the Constitution, and the GOD GIVEN rights enshrined there, not the intellectual fascism that is called political correctness.

And the 'racist' joke is still one of the funniest out there & it only offends those with no sense of humor. Get over it!! There are much more important things to worry about - like our country surviving BHo's onslaught. Get rid of him & his minions now!!!!!!

Just calling him the "first african-american president" is a racist statement.

What about the cracker half?? The african half trumps the cracker half somehow? I don't think so!

Actually he's only something like 20% african-american, with the rest being a mixture of arab, cracker, etc.  What we used to call a mutt.

Don't takte that the wrong way.......I'm not attacking him for not being full-blooded-something, I'm just saying.  Besides, there's plenty of other sh*t to take him to task for LONG before his heritage comes into play.
