Hadn't thought about Guy Clarrk for a long time.  Glad you mentioned him.

Been reading a biography of Townes Van Zandt (A Deeper Blue).  Lot of mention of Guy and Susan Clark.

Townes' story is sad because of his affliction but he certainly left a mark on this world that many will treasure.

.........About 3 hours drive from here......
LOL. You got it. They just need to be in my front yard (AKA 1.5 hours or so away).

I always thought they measured distance in Texas and some other Western states in six packs it took to get there?

Damn, I'd forgotten that one. If you don't post it on the "songs for troubled times" thread I'm  kicking your ass.  ;D
FQ13 who is reminding you not to be a tease when it comes to Tx. Hill Country folk music.
PS You get a repreive Gringo. I posted Lyle's version along with Guy singing the Dublin Blues ( a classic Tx.tune), but seriously man, don't tease like that. And I still want the man himself singing it. >:(

Sorry FQ13, that one is elusive....but this is pretty neat.....right in Guy and Susan's house.....

MB thinks he's a wise Latina woman?  :)
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Now I'll have to be watching those dates for the next time MB is in College Station. Going to end up being a 24 case trip but I'll survive... ;D
