Does anyone know if the Gadsden is owned by anyone, or is it public domain. I'd sure like to silkscreen some up.

I'm not a lawyer, but I think it is public domain.  It's been around since the war of independence.  The first one.

Ok I understand them not wanting some one to fly a 3'x 5' flag indoors, that is a little big.   what I don't understand is how they would care if some one complains about an american flag( of reasonable size) being flown.

TAB,

A 3' x 5' flag on a standard standing upright is a standard indoor flag.  They are in classrooms, churches, lobbies and offices all over the Country.  It stands nearly 7' tall, but takes up no more than one square foot off floor space.  When our local schools took out these larger flags* and replaced them with the small flags that hang from a standard at a 45 degree angle from a wall bracket many complained about the "distraction" the new smaller flags caused.

*  Larger flags were removed out of respect due to their age and showing wear and fading.  Smaller flags and standards were chosen as a cost issue and to make floor cleaning easier for custodians.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

I'll look for my buddy and see how much he'll charge and how long it would take. I'll get back to you about this in a couple days..

The flag is back up. Seems it wasnt the flag , but the size of the flag that bothered the complainer. At least thats what is in the news today.
