I was down at Barnes and Nobles the other day looking at a SWAT mag as I turned the page there was an ad for a .50 BMG. Needless to say I started to drool and I showed the ad to my buddy.

He asked if I was drooling over the woman in the ad or the rifle.

I didn't know there was a woman in the ad.

Sounds like the time I got a Dillon catalog with Cathy on the cover. It wasn't for two weeks of looking at the cover, when I read the info on the inside, that I realized (a) she was packing a pistol, and (b) was leaning on a Ford GT-40 - my all-time favorite car!

Ranger, another side of the coin to consider. I'm way older than you but as I keep telling the girlfriend, I ain't dead yet!

You know your a gun nut when.
1) You go through shotgun news and check off every gun you have owned and currently own, and circle the ones you want.

2) Your neighbor says " hey did you see the new M40 a1 in this months American Rifleman?" and you say, " yeah, you want to see one ".

3) At work someone asks whats the perfect large game hunting round and you go into a 20 minute diatribe about ( how big is the animal, how thick, how far away will you likely shoot, what bullets should be used, their ballistic coeffients, their sectional density and you can quote all this information.).

4)  Someone looks at your gun collection and says " who are you afraid of" and you say " NO BODY ".

5) You know the winchester lever action was based on the Volcanic pistol.\

6) You know who Ed McGivern, Ed Topperwein, Herb Parsons, Bill Jordan, Jeff Cooper, Thell Reed, Ray Chapman, David Tubb, Bill Blankenship, Rob Leatham, Tom Knapp,Annie Oakley, Doc Bouregard, Tom three persons  and  Ron Weaver are and why.

7) You can name at least 10 smith and wesson model numbers and the calibers that apply to them.

You know what a carbide sizing die is.

9) Your ears perk up when you hear, Ed Brown, Smith and Alexander, Kimber, Les Baer, Sig, Colt, Springfield Armory, Arredondo, Taylor freelance, Glock, Smith and Wesson, Brownells, Midway, Berger, Sierra, Hornaday, Remington, CCI,
Federal, Ruger, Norma, Sako, etc...
