Alas, no Saiga for me. I went to a gunsmith in my area today to talk about a problem I had with my Parker 20. He's an old guy and mostly retired and it was less a question of getting the barrels rebrowned than just an excuse to sit and visit. I mentioned my dilemna about choosing between the .308 and the 12 gauge for at best hurricane back up, and at worst killing zombies. He looked at me, mentioned that firing a .308 in a subdivision was a bad idea under any circumstances, and then things got weird. There was a cloud of purple smoke and all I could see was a giant pair of snaggle toed bare feet. He spoke in the voice of HAZ THE ENABLER and said "Son, I do have a new in the box Maverick 88 security model, 8 round, picantinny rail drilled and tapped, 20" that a client didn't pick up. Its yours for $200". What could I say, I'm so easy its a good thing I wasn't born a girl. Somehow Haz, this all your fault!

Thanks for the help but I am temporarily benched from the saiga 308, but they seem to be a decent rifle for a good price. If anyone has opinions out there I would love to hear them, as I am not done yet. There is that three gun combo thing after all.
