They've been letting 'fumbling Joe' Biden handle paperwork again....haven't they?

BOOBS.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Me  ;D
If you REALLY want a good explanation of what work is being done in these places you need a source in Russian or Chinese intelligence as they are the only ones who have a documented overview of the "big picture".
One thing I would disagree about is that the people we need to worry about don't care about the "Steven Hawking stuff" the are only interested in how to acquire and purify material and that is actually fairly simple, the real challenge is acquiring the precision equipment needed to perform the task.
And once again pointing out the importance of the machinist! ;D Seriously you're dead on. You could have given Julius Ceasar the design specs for the colt peace maker, but wish him luck building one. The real danger is now our "ally"pakistan. Talk about backing the wrong horse.

The Paki's (the number one supporters of the Taliban ) are our "Allies" because GWB did not want to deal with the shit storm the socialist press would have raised if we attacked a nuke armed nation, even though on 9-10-01 they were on our shit list for nuke proliferation and sponsoring terrorism.

Not much scares me, never really has but.....I physically walked through the K-25 buildiing at Oak Ridge National Labs!

That was nearly 20 years ago and I still think I need to wash my hands.....it was kind of like a living nightmare considering what Oppenheimer and the boys were doing under that roof...

The thing that gets me is the attitude of the scientists, According to their calculations there was the possibility that the Trinity test could have caused an uncontrolled self perpetuating chain reaction that fed off the atmospheric hydrogen ending life on the planet, their solution was to "touch it off" and see what happened.

Inside every physist is a 12 year old boy (or girl). Just like us the desire to push the red button to see what happens is (or fire the .577 T-Rex) is hard to resist.
