It has finally occurred to me what's going on in our country.  BHO just wants America to be "one of the guys" in the family of nations.  By that I mean, there is just too much pressure and expectations required of being the lone superpower.  The old America (pre BHO) was required to be the beacon of freedom, the world's policeman, defender and rescuer of the downtrodden, the world's breadbasket, and all these things set us above the rest of nations of the world.  Frankly they are jealous and therefore don't like us.  The countries of Europe battled for supremacy for centuries and now it seems like you can't tell them one from another.  We accomplished whatever they did in 300 years or less.  And people still have the audacity to keep coming here to get educated, settle here to raise their families  ( or bring them from home wherever that may be).  So let's lower or dumb down the whole thing so we can better relate to them.  Let's have bigger government, higher taxes and less individual freedoms.  Let the government decide where you will go to school, where you will work, what kind of medical coverage you can have or not have. Next we will be asking North Korea and Iran to "take a time out" and think about what they are doing. At some point in time we will be able to say to the world, "You like us. You really like us".  Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Graywolf, you are right on the money - we are to be no better than - and probably worse than - some of the other nations in the world. All of this is leading up to a "new world order" of some sort, probably through the UN. That is a corrupt and despicable organization with enough cunning  to be really dangerous.

My biggest fear is that bho will get some sort of treaty passed by Congress that will essentially undo the Constitutional control over the US gummint - probably through replacing the Bill of Rights with some sort of UN nonsense. At that point, well, the heater dial just may have run out of clicks.
