Yeah, this interview has been a common joke among the 'gunny' community for some time now. The "shoulder thing that goes up" has become an oft used internet forum community reference to any and all topics breached by less than informed antis.

Does this suprise anyone? It's not about knowledge of the firearms, it's about preventing the "common man" from having them.

The funny thing is a barrell shroud is a SAFETY DEVICE... Ms. McCarthy Why not ban seat belts, air bags, hard hats & infant seats as well?  Go to the circus much...well they have safety nets for the high wire acts dont you know...might as well get rid of them too.

What fools these lawmakers are...why not do some homework first.

The pistol grip may cause a problem with my ARs, unless she really meant that it is two grips like she motioned.  And hey, the clip thing ... all my rifles use magazines!!!  We tried to instill in our children the importance of knowing and understanding both the English language and common vocabulary, and this is a prime example of why. 

This BS is like having Kindergartners write traffic laws.

By the way, Constitutional Revisionists scare the daylights out of me.  How about we ban them, or at least require special training and licensing to poses one.
