A US "taster" tested the food being dished up to President Barack Obama at a dinner in a French restaurant, a waiter said on Sunday.

"They have someone who tastes the dishes," said waiter Gabriel de Carvalho from the "La Fontaine de Mars" restaurant where Obama and his family turned up for dinner on Saturday night.

"It wasn't very pleasant for the cooks at first, but the person was very nice and was relaxed, so it all went well," he said on the Itele news channel.

Asked by AFP to comment, the restaurant confirmed the report.

That's a brave and dedicated employee right there. Is there a waiting list to get this job?

How was your day at work today dear?

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

I guess it's a step up from the 'Presidential Butt Wiper'.        ;D
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I beleive applications for BOTH those jobs are reserved for the MSM.
As for the "food taster", if I were interviewing for that job I'd have a few questions of my own ! Starting with, "He doesn't like liver or Chitlins I hope"   ;D

I don't know. Hillary and Laura both brought in world class chefs to the white house. (Not really a waste of money as the idea is to show off American cuisine to foreign dignitaries and they work for CS wages to get it on their resumes). Michelle, on the other hand, planted a vegetable garden. I'd rather have been W's taster, equally hazardous, but better food. I wonder if you can ask for seconds on the ribs, just to be sure? ;)
