So what now?
« on: June 12, 2009, 12:17:23 PM »
Ok, so I joined in the Tea Parties, I've been in contact with my reps. (problem is my reps are doing it right!) I'm working to keep my job secure. I scrimp and save for the unforeseen. My cupboards are stocked and I am trying to make myself as self reliant as I can. So what the hell do I do now. I refuse to just sit and wait for our "dear leader" to run the country into the toilet. But I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?  I know we gotta keep pressure on Washington, but how do we keep it up when they keep ignoring and marginalizing us?   ???

Talk to everyone you meet, keep passing the word on what America is SUPPOSED to be and what this asshole is doing to pervert that, and keep your eye out for a reputable leader for the revolution. With such a large portion of the population disgusted by this buffoon there must be some one out there who is not a racist, or flake, some one of reputable character who is willing to take a stand similar to Heston's "From my cold dead hands".
These enemies will not be voted out as they are to deeply entrenched in the system, look at what some Customs bureaucrat is trying with knives. No, the ballot box will not serve our needs, what is needed is a major purge of Federal and State  bureaucracies, and then a savage pruning of Govt. agencies and a rewrite of the Constitution into little words that even an idiot can understand as that is what seems to get elected.

Hate to say it, but we're already in the crapper. Just have to keep our "dear leader" from pulling the lever.

Keep up the good fight JC. Opening the eyes of the sheeple and a swift kick in the pants to our so called "government leaders" would be nice.
A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have. ~ Gerald Ford - August 12, 1974

Fully agree with you there, but I'm optimistic that for now we can still reverse what he's done and get back on track. Give him another six months and we may not be able to recover. I'm ready and willing to lead, but just waiting for the catalyst. All I want is the country that I grew up in. Where men really WERE created equal, and not guaranteed anything. Where people worked for what they had and respected the RULE OF LAW.

That is what truly frightens me about BHO. His admin is simply making up the rules as they go. Compare what they are doing to Chrysler compared to 100 years of bankruptcy law. They have completely subverted it. And now there is some stooge thats going to tell me how much money I can make?!?!?!? I don't want to live my life wondering when the feds are going to knock on my door because they perceive that I am doing better than my neighbor. But I fear this is the road we are heading down.

Not a f#@king chance, unemployment is already at 9.5 % but it's ONLY going up by 600,000 per WEEK. The way they fudge the numbers there is really no way to tell what the inflation rate is but it is at least double what they admit to. The economy is basically wrecked and only running on the BS paper they are cranking out. Before this shitbird gets done people will wish it was as gentle as the last depression.

So What Now????

Tighten your groups around the 10 ring....Practice all you can....Don't stop..

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Stock up on essentials, network with trustworthy like minded people, pick somewhere to bug out to if you live in the city, stock up on preserved foods and seeds if you don't. Generally be prepared to live without ANY out side assistance, No liquid fuel, no electricity and basically nothing from outside your immediate area.

I concur, don't wait, don't get sidetracked, do what you can do, to  actually be independent.    Be very careful of who you trust.

Not only trustworthy, up here in the semi frozen North, "Cabin Fever" highlights the fact that they also have to be people you can get along with for long periods of time. You may trust them with your Wife, Wallet ,and life, But if you can only take them in small doses you do not want to be living with them. Over extended periods minor annoyances can't become MAJOR issues, like if that SOB snores tonight I'll KILL him, type major issues.

Truer words were never spoken. I just never thought that they would apply in my lifetime and not in my country.
“What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that the people preserve the spirit of resistance?”

Thomas Jefferson, 1787
