Stock up on essentials, network with trustworthy like minded people, pick somewhere to bug out to if you live in the city, stock up on preserved foods and seeds if you don't. Generally be prepared to live without ANY out side assistance, No liquid fuel, no electricity and basically nothing from outside your immediate area.
Truer words were never spoken. I just never thought that they would apply in my lifetime and not in my country.
